The 43rd generation of correctional officer cadets graduated

Vushtrri, Nov. 24.2023 – As of today, 45 new officials will join the Kosovo Correctional Service (SKK). After a seven-month training at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (AKSP), the 43rd generation of cadets of the Kosovo Correctional Service graduated today.


At the graduation ceremony of the 43rd generation of correctional officer cadets, the Kosovo Correctional Service marked the 24th anniversary of its foundation.


The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at the graduation ceremony of this generation, said that the Correctional Service of Kosovo is successfully certifying 45 women correctional officers in order to raise the quota. Congratulating KCS on the anniversary of its establishment, Prime Minister Kurti said that marking the anniversaries of these institutions is of particular importance when their progress is evident, when the efficiency of services is at a desirable level, when we boast of these successes and are encouraged for more work in the future. 


Prime Minister Kurti said that the Kosovo Correctional Service is an institution that must guarantee the safety of each convict and the possibility of correction of individuals who in the past have done wrong actions or such, which are sanctioned by the laws of our republic.


Prime Minister Kurti said that the Kosovo Correctional Service is well on its way to guaranteeing a safe environment for everyone, with rehabilitative and re-socializing facilities.


"The establishment of institutions for the training and treatment of persons with special needs, elderly persons who need support and continuous care, persons with chronic diseases, persons addicted to various substances is in process" said Prime Minister Kurti.

Meanwhile, the deputy of the General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Kastriot Jashari, at the graduation ceremony of the 43rd generation of correctional cadets, congratulated the KCS on the 24th anniversary of its establishment.


Jashari said that the Kosovo Correctional Service is an institution of great importance for the country, which has an essential and challenging mission..


"The Correctional Service of Kosovo and Kosovo Academy for Public Safety have excellent cooperation, this cooperation has been translated into an increase in the level of quality in teaching and learning for correctional cadets", said Jashari.

Congratulating the newly graduated cadets, director Jashari said that the skills, abilities and competences that they have benefited from the theoretical and practical part within the professional training at the Academy, now they have to use in the exercise of tasks and practical actions in their sacred mission.


"This generation consisting of 45 women is an additional encouragement and motivation for how high we can climb in the exercising the state responsibilities regarding the role and importance of women in the Republic of Kosovo", said Jashari.

Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu, congratulating the cadets on their graduation, wished them success in their sacred work. Minister Haxhiu said that the Correctional Service of Kosovo is an institution that has made progress, both in infrastructure and in the quality of service and professionalism.

During this ceremony, the Minister asked the officials to perform their work with honor and high responsibility.



The General Director of the Correctional Service of Kosovo, Ismail Dibrani, expressed his happiness that today the KCS is marking two successes: the graduation of the 43rd generation of correctional officer cadets and the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the KCS.

Director Dibrani said that they will continue to work with dedication to promote the values of justice.
