52 Generation of the Kosovo Police cadets has graduated

Vushtrri, 12 June 2015 - Since today, the Republic of Kosovo Police will grow with 141 police officers. At the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), after a six-month training today has graduated 52 generation of Kosovo Police cadets.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Skender Hyseni, Director General of the Kosovo Police, Shpend Mexhuani, Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi, Mayor of Vushtrri Bajram Mulaku, heads of Public safety agencies and government institutions, representatives of ICITAP, OSCE and KFOR.

Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Skender Hyseni, during the award ceremony for 52 generation of the cadet said that Kosovo police is a democratic force, functional and best in region. 

"Kosovo police is a multiethnic force in the service of all citizens of Kosovo, regardless of ethnicity and religion," said Hyseni, he also said that newly graduated police officers will be part of an irreplaceable instrument for rule of law in Republic of Kosovo. 

"You will be at the service of the citizens of Kosovo, the safety service and welfare service for each citizen of the country", said Minister Hyseni to police cadets wishing success in their work. He invited the cadets to be part of the Kosovo Police, which has so far, he said, exceptional proved an excellent job. 

Meanwhile, Director General of the Kosovo Police, Shpend Maxhumi appraised that training of police cadets is made as required to be Kosovo police at the highest standards. 

Maxhuni to those present said that the vision of the Kosovo Police is the rule of law therefore invited all new police officers to follow this path. 


"The rule of law and order is an essential precondition in all aspects of society," said Maxhuni. 

Maxhuni invited all police officers that during their work to show responsibility and professionalism. He also congratulated the cadets for the new uniform of the Kosovo Police. 

Meanwhile, Director General of the Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), Ismail Smakiqi, said that the Academy continues to provide exceptional contribution in providing training for members of public safety. 

Smakiqi during his speech at the graduation ceremony of the 52 generation of cadets of the Kosovo Police said that fifty-two generations and more than 12 thousand law enforcement were trained in Academy. 

Director Smakiqi cadet’s decision to become part of the Kosovo Police has highly appreciated saying that the police profession is sacred profession. 

"The Academy is now firmly center of all kinds of modern training for all Public Safety agencies," said Smakiqi. 

At front of newly graduated cadets, director Smakiqi said that Academy will provide continuously trainings and modern education.

At the end Smakiqi congratulated cadets for their graduation and new uniform of Kosovo Police. He invited new police to proof themselves at their work as during the basic training.
