Training for officials of the Green Line border is completed

At Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), today is completed "Regional Training on  green line Border" which lasted a week. The training was attended by 27 police officers from countries of the region. 

The training was organized by ICITAP (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program) of the Department of Justice of the United States of America, under the sponsorship of Aurora Castillo - Senior Advisor for IBMP (Integrated Border Management Program) and Lieutenant Mentor Shabani, a senior officer of the KP Border Police. The certification ceremony was attended by: Cameron Fisher Program Manager of ICITAP, Shpend Maxhuni Director General of KP, and Director General of KAPS Ismail Smakiqi.

Director General of the Academy Ismail Smakiqi initially welcomed the participants by thanking in particular ICITAP for supporting this training.

"The Academy will continue to support all regional trainings which have great importance for the safety of citizens" He thanked ICITAP for organizing this training. While the Director General of Kosovo Police, Shpend Maxhuni welcoming the participants wished success in their work to members of public safety in Kosovo and the region. "Kosovo police will be open to all Police of the countries in the region and broadly. This is the only way of stopping the threats which we may have as a region”

While the Cameron Fisher project manager of ICITAP encouraged police officers for the work and dedication that they have shown during this training. He also stressed that ICITAP has excellent cooperation with the Academy in achieving the objectives for the training and professional qualification for members of public safety.

At the end are award certificates to attendees.
