The Academy for the second time beneficiary of the Twinning Project

Vushtrri, 23 April 2015 – Kosovo Academy for Public Safety is starting a new supportive stage by international partners and for the second time is beneficiary of the Twinning Project from Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), of European Commission (EC). 



During this week in the Academy present are the experts’ team from Finland and Estonia, member states which will implement the Twinning Project titled 

“Further Strengthening Public Education in Kosovo”.



The experts’ team from Finland and Estonia are working together with the teaching staff of the Academy and with experts from diverse fields of the Public Safety Agencies in the preparation of document to which will include the components, activities and dynamic project plan.



The project will have three components; professional training, Public Safety Bachelor program and the Research Institute.

 



This project aims to support the provision of high quality education in the field of public safety in Kosovo, strengthening KAPS training capacities and all Public Safety Agencies. Moreover, the project aims at strengthening the Bachelor program at the Academy in order to fulfill European Union and international standards.



This project will begin in October of this year which will last three years (2015 - 2018) and will cost 1.4 million Euros.







Moreover, last year has ended a two-year twinning project from IPA program which has resulted with the four-year Bachelor Study Program accredited by the State Quality Council respectively Accreditation Agency of Kosovo.  



Realization of all these processes, made possible that in the Academy to be established Faculty of Public Safety within the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.
