Director Smakiqi participated in the first INTERPA conference

Vushtrri, May 3, 2012 - General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), Ismail Smakiqi and Director of Training and Support Program, Dukagjin Dinaj returned from an official visit from Turkey. During this visit Smakiqi has participated in the first annual conference of the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA).
At this conference all participating countries have introduced Academies training programs   for police. Kosovo was presented with the subject on “Police Training System in Kosovo" where through presentations, discussions and meetings are promoting the values of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety and good work of the Kosovo Police. Also during meetings Director Smakiqi  said that it was discussed about various issues such as the possibility of increased cooperation and exchange of experiences among member states of (INTERPA).
In the conference participated 24 INTERPA founding countries and academies as 22 observer states. International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA), was signed in Istanbul on 2 July last year as well   the Academy is a member of this association. International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA), aims to establish a platform of communication, cooperation, coordination and exchange of experiences between member states in order to combat, terrorism, smuggling, trafficking in human beings and all other negative phenomena.
