At the Academy the training "School of Police Staff and Command" is completed

Vushtrri, 28 June 2019 -  Today at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), forty-two officers and senior officials of Kosovo's public safety agencies completed the training "School of Police Staff and Command"organized and held by "Center for Public Safety of Northwestern University” of the United States of America (USA).

 

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo Philip S. Kosnett, Minister of Internal Affairs  Ekrem Mustafa, General Director of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety Ismail Smakiqi, General Director of Kosovo Police Rashit Qalaj, ICITAP Program Leader for Kosovo Kimberly Riffe, senior officials of public safety agencies in Kosovo and representatives of the University "Northwestern".


In the training " School of Police Staff and Command" which is held for the sixth time, apart from the senior leaders of the Academy has have been  also attended by the  officials from Kosovo Police, Police Inspectorate, Kosovo Correctional Service, Emergency Management Agency,  Kosovo Security Force officials as well as Kosovo Customs.


Attendees highly praised the holding of this training,saying that the  participating officials have had the opportunity to reinforce their knowledge in the field of public safety.


Unlike during this training, participants have followed the eight modules which assist the officials in advancing their work and their organizations; leadership, resource allocation, organizational behavior, traffic and ethics, budgeting, decision-making, project management, etc.


The training which has lasted eight weeks was organized by ICITAP and the American Embassy in Kosovo, while lecturers in this training were professors from Northwestern University. In the end, certificates were issued for the training participants.
